My Story

Stephanie Langford (Soprano) is a senior at the University of South Carolina, majoring in Music Performance. She is currently studying under Metropolitan Opera Veteran Janet Hopkins. She is a member of the University of South Carolina's Concert Choir, under the direction Dr. Alicia Walker. Stephanie has received several awards for her talents, including Lexington County Choral Society's H.T. Lyric Jr. Vocal Scholarship (2012), Sandlapper Singers' Katie Quackenbush Scholarship (2015), and Lexington County Arts Association's Shari Smith Scholarship (2015). She has performed in many theatrical productions in the greater Columbia, SC area and in several University of South Carolina Opera productions, including La Perichole by Jaques Offenbach (Ensemble) and Speed Dating Tonight by Michael Ching (Dater #8/Billie).  

This summer, Stephanie performed as a singing ice cream waitress at the Music Man Singing Ice Cream Shoppe. Most recently, Stephanie had the honor of performing in the South Carolina premiere of Leonard Bernstein's MASS as well as representing her grade level as the Junior year winner of the USC Vocal Honors Competition. Stephanie is a soprano soloist and paid singer at Brookland United Methodist Church.
